Grifols Egypt donation centers receive first international plasma industry quality certification outside North America and Europe
Grifols Egypt donation centers are the first outside North America and Europe to receive certification from the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) International Quality Plasma Program (IQPP), the industry’s recognized authority on quality and safety standards.
The validation, confirming the high standards already in place, is another milestone for Grifols Egypt as it advances decisively in building the first fully integrated platform in the region to source and supply plasma medicines.
Plasma-protein therapeutics adhering to the highest standards are essential for the treatment of many life-threatening and chronic conditions, including immunodeficiencies, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, and bleeding disorders.
Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivatives (GEPD) is a joint-venture company between the Egyptian Government, through the National Service Projects Organization (NSPO), and Grifols, a global leader in plasma medicines with more than 110 years contributing to improve the health and well-being of people.
