Grifols Egypt hosted a marathon in conjunction with International Plasma Awareness Week at its Maadi Plasma Donation Center on 5 October to raise awareness of plasma donations and the national project of plasma-derived medicines.

The competition was held under the auspices of the General Authority for Health Insurance and a number of national companies, with the participation of the Hemophilia Association.

Maadi Plasma Donation Center is one of Grifols Egypt's donation centers that has been awarded the global quality accreditation certificate (IQPP) by the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA).

The event was held in a festive style with appreciation speeches by Dr. Ahmed Serag; Strategy & Projects Officer, Grifols Egypt, and Dr. Sherif Kamal Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Egypt Healthcare Authority for Medication Management and Pharmacy Affairs.
